Daniel C. Ippolito

Chaplain, Ministry Director

About

Dan is Chairman and CEO of Veritas Educational Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization overseeing Veritas Classical Schools of North Georgia.

Dan brings years of rigorous training, faithful service, and real-world experience to Veritas. After graduating from Marietta High School in 1996, Dan married Kathy and enlisted in the Air Force. There, he served with honor until his retirement in 2014. Shortly afterward, he surrendered to God's call to Gospel ministry and was ordained in 2018.

Dan and Kathy have homeschooled their five children since 2009, emphasizing classical Christian doctrines and methods. As a father, he has witnessed firsthand the blessings of classical education in the Christian home. Two of the Ippolito children have graduated from Veritas and continue to live faithful Christain lives. His oldest daughter and her husband have recently welcomed their first child into the family.

With decades of leadership, teaching, and ministry experience behind him, Dan is a passionate and articulate advocate for classical Christian education. He is eager to see students grounded in God's Word, armed with Truth and Virtue, and ready to impact the world for Christ. It is Dan's great privilege to serve at Veritas, working alongside Christian families and teachers to train up the next generation. His desire is that students graduate with wisdom, character, and an unshakable Christian worldview. He and all the teachers at Veritas pursue this desire for academic excellence and spiritual vitality with grace, wisdom, and love.

A. Chanelle Pritchett

About

Chanelle is Vice Chairman and COO of Veritas Educational Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization overseeing Veritas Classical Schools of North Georgia. 

Chanelle has more than 20 years experience in public and private education. During that time, Chanelle has taught elementary grades, as well as middle and high school Language Arts. Chanelle’s introduction to Classical Education has changed the way she thinks about traditional educational models. The Classical approach is a proven model with outstanding educational results, and Chanelle is excited to teach in a school that emphasizes its value and importance. 

Chanelle is wife to Matt, who was a collegiate and professional athlete, as well as a youth pastor. Together, they have three children: Ryleigh, Elise, and Caroline. Sports play a large part in the life of the Pritchetts and, when they are not engaged in their studies, they can often be found on an athletic field. 

Chanelle is thankful for the opportunity to work with your children. Her desire is to help all of her students develop a love of literature and a passion for writing.

Kathy A. Ippolito

About

Kathy is Treasurer and CFO of Veritas Educational Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization overseeing Veritas Classical Schools of North Georgia.

Kathy was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1993 and married Daniel in 1996. Daniel entered military service in 1997, and Kathy served alongside him, caring for their home and their children, until they retired from active duty in 2014. Dan and Kathy have five children together, and they have been a homeschooling family since 2009. Having also taught in various public and private school settings, Kathy is convinced of the necessity of a distinctly Christian approach to education and learning, and she is a dedicated proponent of the principles of classical education.

Lori Rhodes

 About

Lori was raised in middle Georgia and graduated from Wilkinson County High School in 1985. After completing college she married Ray Rhodes in 1987 and they moved to New Orleans for Ray to complete his seminary training. Together, they have six daughters, four of whom have graduated and are godly contributors to society. Lori has nineteen years experience teaching the classical method in homeschool and co-op settings. Being a pastor’s wife, she has spent the last thirty years leading Bible studies to women and children of all ages. She is passionate about telling the next generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders He has done. (Psalm 78:4)

Taylor Pruitt

Teacher

About

Taylor was born in Dawsonville, Georgia. She graduated from Dawson County High School in 2014 after which she attended Young Harris College. After graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, she moved back to Dawsonville and attended Brenau University to earn her Masters of Business Administration in 2020. Since then she has been working on her doctoral degree. Taylor has been teaching at Veritas for the last two years and is excited for her future with Veritas. She believes that her purpose as a Christian educator is to teach students how to think critically on various subjects through a Christian worldview. She enjoys teaching students how to logically apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to their daily lives. Her goal is to empower students in every aspect of their lives to become strong Christians and faithful servants.

Lynn Strehle

Teacher

About

After earning a mathematics degree at North Georgia College & State University, Lynn spent a few years working for an engineering company. Eventually, she returned to NGCSU to obtain her teaching certification in 7th-12th grade math. Over the past two decades, Lynn has taught math from middle school up too Calculus. She finds joy in discovering ways to help students grasp mathematical concepts, as she believes God has gifted us the ability to know Him through His creation. Mathematics serves as a language that describes creation and glorifies God. Lynn has been married for 21 years, and she and her spouse have two wonderful children. Their family loves camping, hiking, and embarking on adventures across the United States. They are also grateful for their cherished church family in the region, through which they express their faith in Christ and cultivate relationships with fellow believers.

Alex Garrett

About

Alex was born in South Florida and moved to Georgia 7 years ago. She met her future husband, Trenton Garrett, when they were both 15 in 2015. Before getting married in 2020, they found their faith and joined River Rocks Church. In 2022, Alex graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education, including a Reading Endorsement. While substitute teaching in public schools, she realized her desire to teach in a distinctly Christian way, using lessons from the Bible. Alex and her husband welcomed their first baby, Adalyn, in December 2022. Alex loves teaching God's Word and working with students in a group setting. She wants to help students learn by connecting new ideas to what they already know, building friendships in the classroom through group work, and using critical thinking skills. Romans 12:2

Scott Williams

Teacher

About

Scott Williams joined Veritas as a substitute teacher for in 2021. He’s taught PreCalculus, Bible, History, and Logic. Mr. Williams is also an ordained elder at Grace Community Church in Dawsonville where he’s pursuing a certification in biblical counseling. Before he entered teaching and ministry, Mr. Williams worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation for over 32 years. He held positions in engineering, project management, people management, and business development. With his wife, Bonney, Mr. Williams homeschooled their seven children and coached varsity baseball for several years. They have been married for nearly 27 years and recently took a delayed 25th-anniversary trip to England.
